The Foyer at The Substation takes full advantage of the three story high space. This impressive entrance to the building as been used as a ceremony, reception and cocktail party space or a small sit-down dinner can be held on the mezzanine level. It makes a great backdrop for film and photo shoots as well as a small live music space.

Our largest flexible space, striking and theatrical with a warm wooden floor, dramatic ceiling heights and soft red drapery flanking Georgian style floor to ceiling windows framed by original red brick pillars. The space is perfect for larger scaled functions or events and we have the facilities for performances (theatre style seating), sit down events (banquet rounds), stand up events, cabaret events and meetings and conferences.

The Darren Williams Dance Studio is certainly a unique space with stunning exposed steel beams, sliding mirrored doors, and curtains to cover the arched windows. This studio is a perfect for rehearsals and private or corporate functions. If you require privacy or are looking for an intimate space this room is suited to meeting and conferences of 50 and a maximum of 80 standing.

Our very own Melbourne Laneway - The Transit Room is a raw space with exposed red brick, steel beams and a concrete floor. It is filled with heritage listed, colourful graffiti, from the buildings previous life. This is a multi-purpose space ideal for small conferences or as a break-out room for a larger corporate event. The space also lends itself well to being a cafe/catering point during the day and perfect for launch events and sit-down dinners at night. If utilised during the evening there are expansive views of the CBD through each arched window.
