As hosts we were not distracted during the evening with catering matters or staff monitoring - you used initiative to determine requirements, thereby allowing us to enjoy precious time with our guests. Even the day after the party was made easy because the peripheral extras such as glasses, crockery, cutlery etc. were all brought in by you, cleaned and removed again.
