About Freo.Social
Built in 1895, Fremantle’s Artillery Drill Hall was once an entertainment and community institution. In conjunction with the National Trust, Freo.Social was developed on this historic site as a place where live music, arts, and culture come together for the many.
Freo.Social offers three distinct venue spaces catering to groups and functions of all shapes and sizes. Whether it’s a social event, corporate function, or entertainment-led initiative, we offer spaces, food, beverage, audio-vision and entertainment options to bring your event to life.
The venue boasts a maximum capacity of over 900 people, with individual areas able to cater to groups from 20 persons up to 600 persons.

Entertainment Hall
The reimagined Fly By Night lightclub brought back to life, the Entertainment Hall is a multi-purpose function hall with a dedicated bar, seating or standing configurations, live music stage, and industry-leading audio/visual equipment.

Back Yard
An intimate outdoor group space accessible from the entry to the venue. The Back Yard sports a dedicated draught beer and cocktail bar, high tables, deck chairs, heating, cool mist system, and shade in an outdoor beer garden. This area is able to be closed off from the main venue enabling a private experience.

Front Yard & Beer Garden
The Front Yard at Freo.Social is as eclectic as the venue itself. It features a covered alfreso, elevated stage, beer-garden-style seating, an uncovered step and seating section, and a dedicated smoking area. The Front Yard regularly hosts everything from live DJ events to speaker’s panels to corporate functions, and can comfortable host 200 people.
