About Groote Eylandt Lodge
Paradise getaway providing luxurious accommodation on a secluded island, Groote Eylandt Lodge is located on 25 hectares of coastline with breathtaking ocean views offering a relaxed atmosphere, set in a lush tropical landscape, with restaurant, bar, fully-equipped functions and conference facilities, gymnasium, pools and spa, all inter-connected by boardwalks to preserve the natural surroundings.

The low-impact eco resort is owned by the Aboriginal people of Groote Eylandt, some of whom are employed at the resort. The resort also operates a cultural centre displaying local arts and providing a venue for cultural performances, enhancing your unique indigenous experience.
Location Groote Eylandt Archipelago is situated on the western side of the Gulf of Carpenteria. Approximately 600 kms south east of Darwin. Groote Eylandt Lodge is on the north western part of the island and is 19 kms away from Groote Eylandt Airport.

Location
The airport is located in the north of Groote Eylandt near the community of Angurugu, about 20 minutes’ drive from the lodge. We transfer all guests to and from the airport. Groote Eylandt is a 1 Hour 30 minute flight from Darwin Airport.
