About Hophaus Euro Bar Bistro
As well as our showpiece deco-dining hall, Hophaus is well appointed with an impressive function room, offering north facing waterfront views of the Yarra River and iconic Flinders St Station, and handsome food and beverage packages to suit every event.
Hophaus consists of many versatile function areas which are ideal for a variety of functions. We have both seated dining areas as well as cocktail lounges and bar areas.
With a huge balcony overlooking the Yarra River we can provide both indoor and outdoor space for larger functions. Our Terrace Balcony is covered from above and the front so we can host functions with a view all year round. There are also heaters to keep things cosy during the winter months. All our function areas provide you with private space and your own bar facilities.

Dining Spaces
Dining Room - An internal dining room that can hold up to 60 guests. Sectioned off and semi-private, the Dining Room lends itself well to corporate dinners, private functions and all other types of celebrations.
Dining Terrace - An external, terrace dining space that can hold up to 50 guests for a seated function. Functional all year round, the Dining Terrace can be completely sheltered from above and from the riverside, with beautiful views to take in of the Yarra River, Flinders Street station and Melbourne CBD.
Dining Room & Dining Terrace- These two areas can be combined to cater for larger capacity functions.
Cocktail Function Spaces
Lounge - Our primary function area, ‘Munich’ holds up to 80 guests for a stand up cocktail style event. A beautiful internal space includes private bar access, with comfortable, casual seating.
Garden Terrace - An external function area on our riverside terrace, suitable for up to 80 guests. ‘Berlin’ is fully covered by retractable awnings and can be hired all year round for a multitude of events.
River Terrace - Another external function area on our terrace, Hanover can only be booked for larger stand up events, in conjunction with Berlin (100pax), or both Munich and Berlin (180pax).
Lounge, Garden Terrace & River Terrace - These can be combined to cater for functions of up to 180 guests for a stand up event, with the benefit of both indoor and outdoor areas, stunning views and access to multiple private bars.
Exclusive Venue Hire – There is capacity for up to 250 seated and 400 stand up.
