Overnewton Castle built in 1849 is a heritage listed venue and with it’s Old World Charm this Scottish Baronial Castle is the perfect setting for Wedding Receptions, Conferences, corporate events or any other special occasion. Only 22 kms from Melbourne CBD this unique venue has a chapel for wedding ceremonies, elaborate sitting rooms for cocktail parties and private events.
Overnewton Castle is a prominent heritage building and makes for the perfect garden wedding venue. This unique Scottish Baronial style castle set amidst four acres of private tranquil English garden makes the ideal backdrop for your special day and can seat up to 150 guests.
You may wish to have pre dinner drinks in the garden, or you may choose to be served in our elaborate sitting rooms. The Grand Dining Room features an elegant chandelier and bay window overlooking picturesque gardens. The non-denominational Chapel has exquisite hand painted features and a glass ceiling. Wedding ceremonies and photos can be held in the Private Gardens, an original 1882 Wrought Iron Gazebo or The Chapel.
‘Overnewton Cottage’. A stunning double storey retreat perfect for your romantic honeymoon night. The Cottage has been meticulously furnished in a contemporary style with luxury in mind. Featuring a large oval spa with views of the valley, king size bed, and plasma TV/DVD. The upstairs area has been especially designed for the bride-to-be and her bridesmaids to use as a dressing room area ideal for hair, makeup and pre-wedding photos. There are two double sofa beds, an ensuite bathroom and large dressing room area.

Dining Room
A large chandelier features in the center of the dome roof. Bay window behind the bridal table with breaktaking views of the gardens and thousands of fairy lights sparkle throughout the garden. Dance floor in the same room with a max capacity of 120 guests. Marble topped cake table, and elegant fittings and fixtures throughout the room. The room is extremely versatile and can be changed in an instant with the the change of the sash colour.
