If you’re working on an event with exhibitors, there is one simple thing that you can do to reach out to each one before they arrive to let them know that there is someone around to help if they need anything.
Write them a quick note to leave on their stands the night before. Something along the lines of…

Hi,
Welcome to [insert event name here]
We are here to be your personal event ninjas.
Will will be at the registration desk from 7.00am.
If you need anything at all, please come over and let us know how we can help
[Insert you names]

Not only will your exhibitors feel the love, but you get to relax in the knowledge that they will know where you’ll be and when you’ll be there, even if they start setting up before you get there!
