Sprawled over two storeys in Melbourne’s famed gastronomic destination, Flinders Lane, this new Saké venue is a super-luxe, high-energy addition to Melbourne’s CBD. The entry-level of our two-storey venue at 121 Flinders lane has a dramatic dining counter combining a sushi bar and spectacular robatayaki grill. This sweeping natural stone counter allows you to interact with our world-class culinary team while they prepare your meal, while further intimate and communal tables surround. Saké Flinders Lane is available for exclusive hire. Exclusively our venue can accommodate up to 150 guests seated and 250 guests cocktail style.
The Menu
Saké Flinders Lane brings some of Melbourne’s favourite dishes to this unique and vibrant setting, but you will also be able to indulge in innovative and playful new dishes designed specifically to showcase Victoria’s high quality local produce and ingredients. From Nihon braised wagyu short ribs with seared foie gras, asparagus and caramelised onion, to Himalayan salt-chilled seared snapper with karazumi, lemon oil and dry soy – the menu aims to surprise and delight, always featuring the freshest ingredients sourced daily.
The Bar
Venture downstairs and pull up a seat at the expansive natural Japanese stone bar and watch our talented crew whip up Sake’s signature and seasonal cocktails, as well as Melbourne’s largest selection of sake, shochu, Japanese whiskies and micro-brewed Japanese beers. Not only for the late night crowd, this lower level also features a light-filled, modern terrace to accommodate diners and floods the restaurant with natural light during the day – while also providing a romantic and atmospheric setting for you in the evening.
