About The Trust
The Trust Bar and Restaurant is located in the grandeur of the old Port Authority Building, one of Melbourne’s most accomplished examples of 20th Century Beaux Arts influenced Greek revival architecture.
A year of meticulous restoration has seen the emergence of a restaurant and bar that have no match in Melbourne. Original heritage architecture is enhanced by the decor of rich reds and golds, wall sculptures and ambient red lighting.
The Trust is operated by a professional team who have been in the hospitality industry in England, America and Australia. Owner manager David Baccini brings to The Trust a background with Nobu London .
The Trust Restaurant offers modern European menu with a classic Italian bent -- both traditional favourites and modern dishes -- makes for a superb selection on the restaurant menu. Our extensive, award winning wine list combines Australian favourites and specialty wines, with a collection of wines from around the world.
The Trust Bar provides a selection of quality tapas, with a vast choice of cocktails, premium beers and fine wines.
The Trust Restaurant is an excellent venue for hosting special occasions, function events. The Trust’s Weddings and Functions Team can assist you to host a business event or perhaps to celebrate a special day.

The Faces of the World event is on again.
More than your typical art exhibition, it is a celebration of the colour and character found in cultural diversity and showcases my latest collection of original art in a stunning historic venue.
Come and enjoy the art, have a drink or 2 and don’t miss the surprise Polynesian dance performance at 9.30pm.
