The Edge is an outstanding venue for corporate functions, presentations, demonstrations and a wide range of music and theatrical performances.
As you walk into The Edge, you will be mesmerized by the dramatic setting and the eye-catching design of the angled walls of glass and steel latticework. Your guests or patrons will be captivated by the venue, as well as the stunning views of the adjacent Yarra River and parklands that filter through its crystalline walls. The Edge offers flexible configuration options by providing seating and/or floor space for between 100 and 450 people using two primary standard seating and staging configurations. In addition, you have the option of incorporating the use of the reception to the rear of the venue. This is ideal for pre and post event entertaining.
The Edge offers a unique audience experience. See a play, attend a launch, hear a speaker or listen to a recital, all against the dramatic backdrop of some of Melbourne’s favourite icons. Through its glass ‘skin’ this modern amphitheatre enjoys views of the Yarra River, The Alexandra Gardens, Melbourne Cricket Ground and the Victorian Arts Centre spire. Located at the river end of The Atrium, Deakin Edge has a seating capacity of 450 people. The striking contemporary fit out was made possible through the generous support of Deakin University.
